| Biography |
Mellie Alfano grew up outside of Cleveland, Ohio and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in the fall of 2000. At the end of 2007, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree from San Francisco State University, with a concentration in painting. A major interest and source of her work is in photography, both as an artform and as a precursor for the subject matter of her painting compositions. She also works in mixed media. Her inspirations are drawn from her experiences in nature: hiking, camping, and birdwatching. Mellie also visits the ocean everyday, and finds roadtrips a necessity for the development of her art and her spirit. |
